Mythopoesis - from the Greek muthos (story) + poiein (to make, to create)

For me, it is an honoring of the Image to give it form. It seems important not to let the voice of the imagination slip away into the River Lethe and get tangled amongst ideas forgotten. Indeed, to give voice to Image requires being within the imagination's dark realm of solitude; it is this pensiveness and honoring that gives shape to the depths and the flames within. This period of incubation within requires both a letting go of what the ego might presuppose the image needs and wants to be, and an opening up to what the image needs and wants to be. Thus, when I create, there is a sense of letting the image create itself. The Image speaks through me and becomes what it needs to be, and I become the medium of expression.
